The objective of the Digital Bangladesh Building (Ruppopa-2021), declared as Honorable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is to create Bangladesh as a knowledge and information technology based middle income country by 2021. For this purpose, the Department of Information and Communication Technology, under the Department of Information and Communication Technology, was constituted on July 31, 2013 for the use of information and communication technologies at all district, upazila and union level, for extension of network connectivity at field level, and to ensure the implementation, coordination and sustainable development. . The Department of Information and Communication Technology has been working to provide services to all the districts, upazilas and union level, to ensure the use and use of information and communication technologies, to coordinate and sustainable development through the electronic system in the doorstep of the people with the help of all concerned to achieve the goal of the Directorate. Meanwhile, 64 district offices and 488 Upazila offices have been set up at district and upazila levels. On 08/07/2015, the ICT officer of the first class of 200 students was posted in the district and upazila headquarters with the headquarters of the department. Of them, 195 officials have joined. Under the project "Setting up computer and language training labs in the educational institutions of the country" in 2015-16, the work of setting up 31 educational institutes (computer lab) of 31 educational institutes in 31 districts including 01 language education labs in Barguna district has been completed. In the 2016-2016 fiscal year, the establishment of the new 5 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs in the district and 01 Sheikh Russell Digital classroom room were set up in 01 primary schools. In the current fiscal year 2017-18 fiscal year, the establishment of 13 more Sheikh Russell Digital Labs and Sheikh Rasel Digital Closures Cells are underway with the project "setting up computer and language training labs in the educational institutions of the country".
